In the past few years, Aliexpress has risen in popularity as the go-to source for dropshippers looking to get started with their maiden dropshipping venture. This is in part due to the massive variety of products available on the site, as well as the low prices.
However, sourcing products from Aliexpress can be a daunting task, especially for those who are new to dropshipping. Also, experienced dropshippers have a gripe that the native platform is not conducive to scaling and expansion.
That’s why Aliexpress partnered with DSers officially. Its a platform that allows dropshippers to search and source products from the site with greater ease. But is Dsers really all that it is cracked up to be?
That’s what we will find out today in our DSers review.
What is Dsers Dropshipping?
DSers is an add-on to the Aliexpress platform for seamless order management.
It is currently the top rated app on the Shopify App Store, and for good reason.
DSers allows dropshippers to quickly source products from the massive catalog of Aliexpress, as well as manage their orders with greater efficiency.
On an average, dropshippers can save up to 90% of their time when sourcing products on DSers as opposed to the Aliexpress platform. Time and effort are two precious commodities for any business and anything that can save us time and effort is a welcome addition.
In addition, DSers offers a wide variety of features that are not available on the native Aliexpress platform. One of the most important ones is the ability to place bulk orders. Aliexpress places a cap on the number of orders that can be placed simultaneously, which is difficult for dropshippers looking to grow their venture.
DSers removes this limit and allows you to place as many order as needed at the click of a button. That’s not the only feature that we like about Dsers. We will touch on that in a bit.
For now, let’s gain an understanding of how Dsers app works.
How Does DSers Work?
DSers is available as a Chrome extension or a plugin that can integrate in one click with Shopify stores, WooCommerce & Wix stores. The set-up is fairly simple.
You download the plugin from your respective ecommerece site and follow the prompts. After installation, you can create an account on Dsers.
In the Dashboard, you will notice a link that says ‘Link to Aliexpress’. You need to enter your Aliexpress account details and hit this button. That’s it. Dsers is now connected to Aliexpress.
The workflow is pretty similar when you are using the Chrome extension. Sign up, connect your Aliexpress account and that’s it. The next time you browse on Aliexpress and hover your cursor on a product, you will notice a bubble with the DS logo.
Click on it and you’ll be greeted with a bevy of parameters and filters. You can then use these to source, fulfill orders and do a lot more on Aliexpress.
Pros and Cons of DSers
Before we get into the nitty gritty of the DSers review, let’s take a look at the pros and cons of using DSers.
PROS:
- Makes Aliexpress sourcing easier – The big draw of Dsers is the ease which it brings to the table when sourcing from Aliexpress. Be it the features for product research, order automation or bulk orders, DSers is designed to eliminate the common quibbles that dropshippers face while using Aliexpress.

CONS:
- Limited Integrations – As of now, Dsers only integrates with Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix stores. If you are using a different ecommerce platform, then you will need to look for other alternatives.
- Price -DSers is not the cheapest tool out there and if you are on a shoestring budget, then it might be difficult to justify the cost. We are obviously talking about the paid plan here. However, as we shall see in the following section, it offers amazing value for money.
- No US products – At the moment, DSers does not offer products from the US market. It’s an Aliexpress only service. This might be a deal breaker for some dropshippers who are looking to source from this lucrative market.

Dsers Key Features & Benefits
Let’s now take an in-depth look at some of the key features and benefits that Dsers has to offer.
1. E-Commerce Integration
DSers currently offers integration with Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix stores. That may not seem like a lot. But these three ecommerce platforms account for a majority of the stores out there.
What’s great about the integration is that it’s as simple as clicking a button. Head to the Platforms plugin repository, search for the DSers app/plugin, register yourself for a free plan, and connect the store.
Once you have connected your store, you will have to login to Aliexpress and authorize Dsers to access your account. This is a one-time process and once you have done it, you are good to go.
That’s all it takes to use all the features that DSers has to offer. Also, DSers is designed for multi-store management. So, let’s say that there’s one feature that you really like on WooCommerce, which Shopify does not offer. Or Wix does for that matter.
You can create stores on any of these three platforms and manage it all from the same Dsers account. This adds to the convenience factor of using Dsers, as it makes it effortless to keep track of the entire operation even if you are running multiple stores with different ecommerce platforms.
2. Product Imports
Importing products is as simple as finding them on Aliexpress and pushing them to your import list. Now, if you head to the DSers dashboard, you’ll see a link that says, ‘My Products’.
My Products will show a list of products that meet one of these three criteria.
- Products that you have pushed to the store from the import list.
- Products that you have sourced from Aliexpress
- Products that are pushed to the store but are not mapped.
You can find three tabs, All, Aliexpress and Other. Under All, you will see a list of all the products that meet any of these three criteria. Under Aliexpress and Other tabs, you will see two lists- all the products from Aliexpress and all those not yet mapped.
As we mentioned earlier, it’s really easy to import from Aliexpress. You can search and add to your import list, or you can directly paste the url if you have saved a list of products that you want in your import list.
Once in the import list, DSers goes in and grabs all the product information from Aliexpress. The images are automatically added to your account. The title, description, features, specs, are also imported from Aliexpress along with the price.
You then have multiple choices. You can push the product to the store, you can publish it, split the product into different ones and add tags.
Mapping is a very interesting feature that DSers simplifies. Mapping is the process where you map the product and variant with the accurate supplier and warehouse that it will be shipped from.
For instance, you might come across a product with three variants. One supplier only offers the product in black color. While the other offers it in Black and White colors. You can map each of these products accordingly selecting different suppliers for each variant.
So instead of creating separate products, you can create separate variants under the same product to help manage your inventory better. DSers also offers advanced mapping.
Some suppliers on Aliexpress may have international warehouses. So, if your supplier stocks a variant of the product in a USA warehouse, you can map that variant to ship it from a warehouse in the USA, while the rest ship from China.
The last feature that also deserves a mention here is Tag Management. Tags are important to help you keep track of products, suppliers, warehouses etc. You can add tags to any product or variant and later on filter your products based on these tags.
This is a really powerful feature as it gives you the flexibility to add as many tags as you want and helps you get more organized.
3. Supplier Sourcing and Management
Anyone who’s ever sourced from Aliexpress would agree that getting the right supplier is a daunting task. With so many suppliers to choose from, how do you know which one to trust?
That’s where DSers comes in. It offers a comprehensive supplier management system that makes it easy for you to find and research suppliers.
To start with, DSers offers a simple way to search for suppliers. You will see the button in your main DSers dashboard. Just search by any product keyword and you will get a list of suppliers that are offering that product.
Once you have found a supplier, you can research more by using filters. For instance, you can check the reviews to know the quality of their products, the shipping time, source country and price.
The source country is a great way to compare suppliers. Suppliers from China are cheap, but they have longer shipping times. They also offer products at lower prices because you don’t have to pay taxes or customs on the product.
Suppliers based in the USA, UK and Australia offer your products that will ship much quicker than their Chinese counterparts.
Sometimes, you find a supplier and then realize a bit later, that they are not the ideal one for you. That’s where Supplier Optimizer comes into the picture. This is a DSers exclusive service where they help you switch to a better supplier without any hassles.
All that you have to do is paste the url of a product and hit on the supplier optimizer button. The Supplier Optimizer Icon also appears on most product pages by the way. Just click this and DSers will find a better supplier for you, who might offer better pricing, quality or shipping times. You can use all the filters again to ensure that you get it right this time.
A great way to do this, is contact the supplier directly by sending them messages. That’s a new add-on feature from Dsers.
Oh, we almost forgot to mention the Substitute Supplier feature. When you dropship, you will come across a situation where the supplier runs out of inventory without warning. This can be a bummer because you are caught unprepared and then have to scramble to find a reliable, replacement.
The Substitute Supplier feature lets you select two suppliers right from the start. There’s the primary supplier, the one you usually source from and the substitute supplier who will become your backup when the primary supplier is out of stock.
The best part is that it is automated. Dsers will send you an alert when the primary supplier is out of stock and the substitute supplier will be ready to ship it for you.
4. Placing Orders
DSers’ big draw is that it lets you place orders automatically. Dropshipping apps that do not have this feature are usually quite useless for dropshipping beginners because they have to manually order every time they generate a sale.
DSers’ automated order system is very efficient at syncing orders and automating the process. There are three primary tabs that you need to know of before the orders are placed.
- Pending – These are the orders that are placed on the store, but the payment details were not captured on Shopify.
- Awaiting Order – These are the orders that are paid for and need to be processed urgently.
- Awaiting Payment – Once you process the orders, it will shift to Awaiting Payment. This is when you have to head to Aliexpress and make the payment for the order status to shift to Awaiting shipping.
Placing orders is fairly simple. You head to the appropriate tab that we mentioned above. Select the order or the multiple orders, and click on the Order button below.
The orders will be placed on Aliexpress and the Ali Order Numbers will be generated. In the Dsers dashboard, these products will now be moved to the ‘Awaiting Payment’ Tab.
Click on the tab, select the Ali Order numbers and hit on ‘Make Payment’. You will be redirected to your Aliexpress account and can make the payment there manually.
Once you pay, the order status and tracking details will be synced automatically. This happens twice a day and sometimes, may take up to 12-hours to reflect in your DSers dashboard.
The tracking details will also be automatically synced.
5. Tracking Details
Last but not the least, we have the tracking details. DSers has a sophisticated tracking system that makes it easy to update tracking details and send out emails to the customer.
As we mentioned, after the payment is completed on Aliexpress, Dsers will automatically update the order status and tracking details. This can take up to 12 hours at times and is an automated system on Dsers. You cannot edit the sync times or reduce it.
The tracking information can be sent out to the customer too. But you need to tweak your Shopify settings to activate this to send out automated emails. You can also choose to select the default shipping carrier and a tracking service URL that will be sent to the customers in the email.
For instance, if you have selected UPS as the shipping carrier, the email will have the tracking details of the UPS shipment. If you have selected 17Track as the tracking service, the email will have the tracking link as well.
You can also connect the Dsers account to PayPal, which is a great way to keep your customers updated about the order status. Dsers will include the tracking details in the transaction id on PayPal. Please note that this again, takes up to 12 hours at times.
Overall, we’d say that tracking is one of the areas where Dsers shines. The only thing that you have to do, is pay for the order on Aliexpress. Everything else can be managed with automated rules and workflows.

Dsers has three tiered pricing plans in addition to the lifetime free plan that they offer. Here’s a look at the different tiers.
- Free – Up to 3000 products and 3 stores
- Advanced – Priced at $19.9/mo and offers up to 20,000 products and 10 stores
- Pro – Priced at $49.9/mo and offers up to 75,000 products and 25 stores.
- Enterprise – Priced at $499.99/mo and offers 100000 products and stores.
The Free plan is definitely a great way to get started with Dsers. You can upgrade to any of the other plans whenever you feel the need for more products or stores.
One thing that we loved about their pricing plans was that there was little restriction on the number of orders that you could place. You can process an unlimited number of orders and don’t have to worry about hitting any caps.
